SUMMER 1999 U.S. Coast Guard; Bahamas The Coast Guard used the Mosquito Magnet to reclaim its Bahamian station that had become uninhabitable due to swarming mosquitoes. Six Mosquito Magnets captured a million-and-a-half mosquitoes in six days.
